Principal, Bain & Company
Diego García is a Principal at Bain & Company in the Buenos Aires office, and a leading member of Bain’s global oil & gas (O&G) practice.
He has advised leading O&G players in unconventional opportunities in Argentina and the region, specifically in regards to strategy and opportunity assessment, field development planning, performance improvement and cost reduction, strategic sourcing and supply chain, and operating model redesign.
He has also led engagements along the natural gas value chain, advising clients in strategy, commercial and financial project structuring, regulation, infrastructure development, performance improvement and organization. In addition, he has worked extensively in gas downstream, including petrochemicals and gas to power.
García recently co-authored Bain’s global point of view on the Refining industry and is an active contributor to Bain’s intellectual capital on the development of unconventional in new regions.
Additionally, García has extensive experience advising the top management of leading players in other industrial sectors such as infrastructure, utilities, metals and mining, and steelmaking.
Prior to joining Bain in 2006, he worked with the Techint Group and ExxonMobil’s operations in Argentina. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with honors from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).
