President & CEO, GE Latin America
Rafael Santana is the President & CEO of GE Latin America; a position he holds since January 2016. Headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with over 26,000 employees across the region, Latin America is one of the largest regions for GE globally.
Santana has held several global leadership positions since joining GE in 2000, including roles in the Transportation, Power and Oil & Gas businesses. In 2010, he became an Officer of the company and joined the GE Corporate Executive Council in 2015.
Prior to being appointed to Latin America, Santana was the President & CEO for the global Turbomachinery Solutions Business (TMS), part of GE Oil & Gas, based in Florence (Italy). Under his leadership, TMS significantly grew its market presence and profitability while facing a contracting industry.
Prior to joining GE, Santana held leadership positions in ExxonMobil and British American Tobacco. He holds a degree in Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil.
