Vice President of Argentina
Gabriela Michetti has been Vice President of Argentina since December 2015. Prior to this she served as a Senator (2013-2015) and as a Congresswomen (2009-2013) for the PRO party, under the leadership of then Mayor of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri.
Michetti decided to enter politcs after the economic and social crisis of 2001. She first became a city lawmaker for Macri's Compromsio por el Cambio party and, from 2003 onwards, led the party block in the City Legislature until she was appointed Deputy Mayor of Buenos Aires in 2007.
Michetti began her career working in the private sector as an international trade specialist. She graduated in Political Sciences and International Relations, and has a Master's in Business Management & Integration.
