Foreign Investment Advisor to President Mauricio Macri
Prior to joining the national government in December 2015 as foreign investment advisor to the President, Horacio Reyser worked for 17 years at Southern Cross Group, one of the largest independent private equity groups in Latin America, where he became a Senior Partner and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee.
He began his career in financial planning at Tenaris, the Argentine steel tube manufacturer, part of the Techint Group. He later worked in Ternium, the flat-steel products division, and specialized in a wide variety of operational projects and strategic acquisitions executed by subsidiaries of the Techint Group. Later, Reyser worked for INFUPA – a regional Mergers & Acquisitions advisory firm based in Buenos Aires.
Reyser has been a member of the Board of Directors of several Latin American companies, including Juncadella Prosegur Internacional S.A., Prosegur Argentina S.A., Compañía General de Combustibles S.A., The Value Brands Company S.C.A., Brinox (Brazil), and Ultrapetrol Ltd. among others. He also acted as interim CEO at Southern Cross Group portfolio companies.
Reyser holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and undertook the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
