President, Buenos Aires Stock Market Inc. (MERVAL)
Ernesto Allaria is the President of the Buenos Aires Stock Market Inc. (MERVAL) as well as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Securities Committee at the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange.
In 2014 he was Vice President of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange. He has also held several offices at MERVAL, such as Director (from 2001 to 2004 and from 2008 to 2009), Treasurer (from 2004 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2014) and Vicepresident (from 2015 to 2016). He has also been a Director of Argenclear, a clearing house providing Delivery versus Payment settlement services.
In the private sector, Allaria started working at Elizalde-Allaria Stockbrokers upon graduating from high-school, in the 1986-1988 period. Later, in 1988, he became a trader at Ernesto Allaria Ledesma Stockbrokers, an office he held until 1995. Since then, he has been a trader at Allaria Ledesma & Co. Brokerage House, where he became President in 2005. Since 2007, he has also been the Director of Allaria Ledesma & Co. Fund Managers.
Allaria has studied Business Administration (4 subjects pending) at the Argentine Catholic University (UCA) and has taken multiple courses in financial mathematics, financial trusts, capital markets, stock-market and futures markets transactions. He currently resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
