General Director for Latin America South, Syngenta
Antonio Aracre is Latin America South CEO & President of Syngenta Agro SA in Argentina.
Aracre won the award for Best Chartered Accountant of Buenos Aires in 1981. He graduated as a Public Accountant from the University of Buenos Aires, receiving the Medal of Honor in 1986. He received an MBA at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in 1993 and in 2003 he completed the Advanced Management Program at IAE, Management and Business School of the Universidad Austral. In both 2012 and 2013 he received a distinction from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires, which awards annually the graduates who have excelled in their Professional Career.
His professional career began in Pistrelli Diaz & Associates. In 1986 he joined Ciba Geigy and in 1997 served as Finance Manager at Novartis Seeds. In 2000, after the merger of Novartis with AstraZeneca gave birth to Syngenta, he was appointed as General Manager of Syngenta Seeds Argentina. Five years later he served as Regional Director for Latin America Seeds. Currently and since 2011, with the launch of the new corporate business integrated crop strategy, he serves as Co-Director of Integrated Business Syngenta for Latin America and President of Syngenta Agro SA in Argentina. He has two children and his favorite hobby is playing tennis.
