Chairman, San Miguel
Gonzalo Tanoira is the Chairman of San Miguel, the largest citrus producer of the southern hemisphere, with operations in Argentina, Uruguay and South Africa. He is also member of the board of directors of Central Puerto, one of the main power generation companies in Argentina, of Patagonia Gold, a mining production company quoted in the LSE, and of Grupo Peñaflor, one of the largest wineries in Argentina. He has recently been appointed member of the board of Directors of Aerolineas Argentinas, the state owned airline.
Previously, Tanoira was a financial analyst at Bear Stearns Investment Banking division for Latin America in New York, and later on, an Associate at the consulting firm Booz Allen & Hamilton, in its offices of Buenos Aires, Santiago and Sao Paulo. After that he was General Manager of MBH (Miguens Bemberg Holding), a family Private Equity Group based in Buenos Aires.
Tanoira holds BA degree of the Belgrano University in Buenos Aires and an MBA from the Wharton School.
