President of the Argentine Bankers Association (ABA)
Claudio Cesario is a lawyer graduated from the School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. During his professional career he has been involved mainly in banking and financial affairs. In 1984, he joined the Legal Department of Bank of America as Assistant Manager.
In 1989, he joined Allende & Brea, and became partner in 1996, providing counselling to banks from Argentina and abroad. In 1998, he joined Banco Río de la Plata as Senior Manager and Director of the Legal Department. In 2002 and up to 2008 he was Senior Manager of Corporate and Investment Banking and First Vice-President of Banco Santander Río.
Up to and including 2010, he was Executive Director at the same bank. In 2009, he joined Allende & Brea once again to co-manage the Corporate Banking department. Since April 2011 he is President of the Argentine Bankers Association (ABA).
