President, Argentine Railway Infrastructure
Guillermo Fiad graduated as Civil, Construction and Hydraulic Engineer at the National University of La Plata. He subsequently continued his studies and obtained postgraduate degrees in Business Administration and Economy at Columbia University (USA), IAE and ESEADE.
Before taking over as President of Argentine Railway Infrastructure, he held numerous executive positions and was part of the board of directors in several companies in the energy and agro-industrial infrastructure sectors.
He was President and General Manager of Duke Energy Southern Cone for over ten years. During that period, he was member of the AmCham executive committee, Director of AGEERA and President of the Renewable Energy Foundation for Patagonia, among other business organizations. Prior to that, he worked in business, regulatory, technical and operational areas in companies such as Shell, Metrogas, NYSEG (USA) and Bank Boston.
He developed his commitment with social issues as he felt the moral need to improve the quality of life of people in his country. Consequently, since 2009 he has voluntarily worked to identify and attract talent with values and aim to serve, so that they commit to enter the civil service with the great challenge of building a better country.
