Minister of Social Development
Minister of Social Development Carolina Stanley was appointed in December 2015. Between 2011-2015 she served in the same role for the Buenos Aires City Government and was instrumental in pushing through much-needed social policy for underdeveloped neighborhoods in Buenos Aires.
Previously, she served as a city lawmaker (2009-2011) and as Director for Civil Society Reinforcement in the Social Development Ministry of the City of Buenos Aires Government (2007-2009), appointed by the then Mayor of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri.
Stanley started her career in the national Foreign Affairs & Trade Ministry, where she worked as a consultant for North American & Hemispheric Affairs. She later worked for lawmaker María Laura Leguizamón (2000-2003) as her social policy advisor, and after joining the newly created PRO political party in 2003, she worked as Executive Director of the Sophia Group think-tank, led by Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, now Mayor of the City of Buenos Aires.
Stanley graduated in Law from the University of Buenos Aires.
